LOS ANGELES, CA – April 15, 2013 Some of today’s hottest emerging and seasoned talent in film, television, fashion and music came together at The Fonda Theatre in Hollywood, CA on April 13 for the “Logo NewNowNext Awards 2013.”

 

Now in its sixth year, the “Logo NewNowNext Awards” have earned a reputation for breaking new ground in pop culture. The highly praised and always unpredictable telecast is one big party that grants the gay stamp of approval to pop culture icons and trendsetters as well as stars-on-the-rise and celebrates what’s hot in TV, music, film and fashion for 2013 and beyond.  The “Logo NewNowNext Awards 2013,” hosted by Aisha Tyler, premieres Monday, April 15 at 10/9C on Logo.

 

As voted on by the public, the winners of the “Logo NewNowNext Awards 2013” are the following:

In addition to the fan-voted awards, TV host and media mogul Chelsea Handler presented eight-time GRAMMY Award-winning artist and dynamic entrepreneur Fergie with the Always Next, Forever Now” Award, Kylie Minogue received the “Dance Floor Hero” Award, and Selena Gomez was on hand to accept the “Triple Play” Award for her achievements in television, film and music.

 

Electro-pop artist Penguin Prison DJ’ed the fiercely entertaining show, and the night was filled with explosive, live performances from Ke$ha, indie pop duo Tegan and Sara, alternative rock band New Politics and rising pop sensation Asher Monroe.

 

The show also featured presenters including Skyler Astin (Pitch Perfect), Azealia Banks, Tamar Braxton, Ciara, Tabatha Coffey (“Tabatha Takes Over”), Perez Hilton, Ross Mathews, Heather McDonald (“Chelsea Lately”), Chad Michaels (“Rupaul’s All Stars Drag Race” winner), Adam Pally (“Happy Endings”), Pauley Perrette (“NCIS”), Carrie Preston (“True Blood,” “The Good Wife”), Naya Rivera (“Glee”), RuPaul (“RuPaul’s Drag Race”) and Jake Shears.

 

The night was filled with outrageous antics and memorable moments, including the show’s opening that featured beloved “RuPaul’s Drag Race” stars Serena ChaCha, Alyssa Edwards, Manila Luzon, Honey Mahogany, Coco Montrese and Vivienne Pinay along with Michael Rooker from AMC’s “The Walking Dead” in a zombie-filled musical extravaganza.

 

The W Hotels Backstage Lounge played host to exclusive celebrity interviews at this year’s awards and was the first stop for winners.  Inspired by the design of W Hollywood, one of the W brand’s global flagship properties, which combines old Hollywood glamour with modern, cutting-edge design, the W Hotels Backstage Lounge was an insider’s escape for the night’s hottest stars.
